There hasn't been a national credit union advertising campaign since Dorothy Hamill was our spokesperson in the 1970s. It's a daunting challenge to get 8,000 credit unions with unique cultures, products and brands to unite behind one rate, spokesperson or headline.

Throw out old ideas

Who says we need one rate? One spokesperson? One headline? All we need is the truth and some great agencies to cooperate with the co-ops they represent. The truth of the American Debt Relief Challenge is the credit union difference. Our not-for-profit rates are lower than profit-maximizing banks, even though rates vary from credit union to credit union.

Instead of creating one campaign and forcing all those beautiful credit union personalities into a single box, the American Debt Relief Challenge is opening the gates for the best advertising agencies in North America to submit multiple campaigns. And we are giving our online tools and PR campaigns back to the advertising agencies to make sure the credit unions they represent increase their net revenue as a result. Creating a campaign for your clients

It's easy for you to take the American Debt Relief Challenge to your credit union clients.

  1. Download the official ADR Style Guide, high resolution logo and widget for free.
  2. Create a campaign for your unique credit union.
  3. Register the credit union to participate in the challenge.
  4. Place the campaign in your community.
  5. The credit union uploads new balance transfer totals into ADR system weekly. (Some card processors are taking care of this for CUs.)
  6. Be prepared for your credit union to be thrilled as they help consumers and increase their net revenue.

Submit a national campaign

If you've been invited to participate, we are honoring your agency's high standing in the credit union world. Please participate. Help us give credit unions their choice, and they'll probably choose your work over anything we come up with. Here's how to submit your campaign:

  1. Download the official ADR Style Guide, high resolution logo and widget for free.
  2. Create a campaign that includes: a billboard, statement inserts, teller posters, and newspaper ads.
  3. Please include overprinting space for individual credit union logos.
  4. Email your campaign to Jamie Chase and call (253) 200-0418 to ensure receipt.
  5. We will track the credit unions that choose your campaign. Your agency will receive credit when your campaign is used by any credit union that reaches the top 10 on our ticker.
  6. You will recieve payment for every credit union that selects your campaign.
  7. We will include your agency logo on this site and name in all press materials.
  8. Your brand will grow along with consumer savings and credit union net revenue.
